چکیده
Objetctive: This experimental study aimed to assess the preference of Gambusia affinis mosquito larvae An.gambiae s.s., Cx. quinquefasciatus and Aedes aegypti. Method: Three were introduced in a glass container with dimension 45cm x 25cmx 25cm. densities used, 90 (30 per species), 120 (40 180 (60 species). Each density experiment was set triplicate monitored after 1, 2, 3, 24 hours. No fish food added for larvae. Results: Results have shown that all times A. aegypti has been most preferred species by affinis. Among tested species, prayed time different densities. In mixed models including density, there no significant difference among predation. Conclusion: Preliminary results appropriate choice predators each can great impact on bio-control substantially complement existing tools.

PDC-based fuzzy impulsive control design with application to biological systems: predator-prey system
In this paper, stability analysis of the PDCbased Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy impulsive control systems by using the extended Lyapunov stability theory is investigated. Some sufficient conditions and criterions are derived for stability of T-S fuzzy impulsive control system in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, control schemes are successfully applied to stabilize a predator-pre...
متن کاملExploring the Relationship among Predator Diversity, Intraguild Predation, and Effective Biological Control
In conservation biological control, we seek to make agricultural systems more hospitable to natural enemies, in an attempt to increase enemy abundance and diversity. However, it is unclear whether the effectiveness of biological control actually increases with growing natural enemy diversity, in communities including many species of generalist predators. Studies have shown that suppression of h...
متن کاملFeedback stabilization of predator-prey systems for impulsive biological control
In agricultural applications, the introduction of predators is used to control the prey/pests level so that crop damage is limited; however, though a satisfactory equilibrium between predators and prey may exist, it may be unstable. In order to achieve pest control, its stabilization should then be achieved and, since predator releases occur at discrete time instants, we model them through impu...
متن کاملPredator interference effects on biological control: The"paradox"of the generalist predator revisited
An interesting conundrum in biological control questions the efficiency of generalist predators as biological control agents. Theory suggests, generalist predators are poor agents for biological control, primarily due to mutual interference. However field evidence shows they are actually quite effective in regulating pest densities. In this work we provide a plausible answer to this paradox. We...
